VTuber Henya the genius claims VShojo won’t be fulfilling merch orders from her community and is accusing the defunct org of pocketing the money.
On July 24, VTuber org VShojo’s CEO Justin ‘GunRun’ Ignacio confirmed that the company would be shutting down after numerous creators left, citing ongoing issues with the agency.
The mass exodus began after Ironmouse revealed VShojo hadn’t paid the $500,000 to charity like they were supposed to, using funds from her legendary subathon.
From there, countless creators exited the company, with GunRun confirming talent went unpaid for months.
Well, it’s not just former talent who were taken for a ride by VShojo, but fans, too. As, according to Henya, the company wasn’t going to fulfil orders on her pre-ordered merch.
Henya reveals new allegations against VShojo
In a post on X, Henya dropped a series of claims against the agency and how they had pocketed the money from merch pre-orders.
“I can now confirm that VShojo will not be fulfilling any of the outstanding merch orders for my community. I am truly heartbroken,” she said.
“VShojo collected all the money from sales and preorders of my merch, but misused the funds without my knowledge or consent. To be clear, I wasn’t paid from any of these sales. Some preordered merch wasn’t even manufactured at all.”
The VTuber further encouraged fans to contact their credit card providers and try to get a chargeback.
“I had no idea that any of this was going on, but by the time I was made aware, it was already too late. Order fulfillment had already been stopped,” she added. “There was nothing I could do about getting them to fulfill and I didn’t have enough time to fix anything.”
“I did everything I could to get VShojo to make a statement to you all about the unfulfilled merch orders, and they still haven’t said anything publicly.”
To compensate her loyal fans, the VTuber says she plans to send special digital content to those whose orders weren’t fulfilled with more details about that coming.
Fans have been extremely supportive of Henya, with many praising her message while saying the ordeal wasn’t her fault.
This latest controversy comes just two weeks after Veibae revealed that VShojo threatened her with a lawsuit if she talked about them following her exit from the agency.
