Hayley Kiyoko is taking a hike in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the singer-slash-actress shows off her amazing body in workout gear as she gets some exercise in nature. “Been on this hike many times but today Becca and I decided to take a different path we’ve never tried before. Not sure where it was going to lead, we kept going. Sometimes in life it’s safer and easier to take the path already known. There’s a lot of fear and unknowns trying something new. Sometimes it can lead to a dead end and you have to turn around. But SOMETIMES, that new path can lead you to a field of yellow flowers everywhere. A super bloom. Blossoming and thriving. And my god, was it worth it,” she writes in the caption. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Hayley loves “waking up, taking my time, making tea, making breakfast” she told Elle about her “really great morning routine” which gives her “more happiness.” Her go-to meal? Two eggs over easy with hot sauce.
Hayley loves drinking tea. “So when I travel, I love to get mugs from where I’ve been and I got this in Porto in Portugal. But it’s like always a nice like moment as you’re drinking tea to remember those times of being able to travel and being outside,” she said. Should you sip on tea with your meals? Numerous studies have shown that a variety of teas may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease.
Hayley is a fan of crystals. “I have a lot of crystals in my home,” she says. “They’re just awesome and they have like positive energy. And I think too, like when you’re isolated or having to like self-care and self-soothe crystals can be so amazing. I mean, I definitely think that they’re powerful, but they’re also just like a physical reminder of what you need to work on and what you want to work on and what you need.”
Journaling is another one of Hayley’s self-care rituals, “if I have time in the morning,” she says. “I love to journal and just kind of check in with myself. I’ve noticed that when I don’t check in with myself, I’ll have a mental breakdown or like have some form of repercussions if I don’t check in with myself and just kind of be like, ‘Hey, this is how you’re feeling or how are you feeling?’ I feel like a lot of the time we don’t even ask ourselves how we are feeling. And so I think it’s just really important to continue that dialogue and continue that practice of conversation.”
Hayley also enjoys at-home workouts. “It’s been really good though to be able to work out and not leave my house. ’cause honestly, when I did have to leave my house, I’d always be like 10 to 15 minutes late so I wouldn’t have to work out as long. And now I have to hold myself accountable,” she says.
In her recent post Hayley hikes. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
