Ahsoka season two is coming our way. It’s officially beginning production next week. Ahsoka‘s first season brought us some incredible episodes and it let us spend more time with some of the Star Wars characters we love best. And that, it turned out, included Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker, who returned in Ahsoka to give his former Padawan one final lesson in the World Between Worlds. But that lesson isn’t so final after all because Lucasfilm confirmed that Hayden Christensen and Anakin Skywalker will also be returning to the Star Wars universe once more in Ahsoka season two.
We don’t yet know where Ahsoka season two will take us. Very little is known about the season. What we do know about Ahsoka season two is that Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will be back at the helm, and Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin will be back on our screens. Additionally, Rory McCann has been cast as the character of Baylan Skoll, originated by the late Ray Stevenson.
Ahsoka season one left us with many interesting questions, including about Grand Admiral Thrawn’s plans for the Great Mothers, where Ezra Bridger and Hera Syndulla’s reunion will take them, and how Sabine and Ahsoka will get off Peridea.
Of course, we’re still wondering about Baylan Skoll and the mysterious connection to Mortis that he’s exploring, and Shin Hati’s journey to find her path. But now we have one more question to ask in Ahsoka season two—where on earth does Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker fit into the mix? Will it be in flashback form, or something more convoluted than that?
We guess we’ll have to wait a little while to find out. Ahsoka does not yet have a specific release date window. But we do feel glad to hear that soon filming will begin in earnest and more details will emerge. You can watch season one of Ahsoka (and Christensen’s first return as Anakin) on Disney+ today.
