Harry Styles is reportedly in talks for a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
According to “sources with knowledge of the talks” who spoke with the New York Post, Styles is in final negotiations for a residency that could span up to 35 dates, and begin as early as later this year.
If confirmed, Styles would become the second pop act to have a residency at the state-of-the-art venue, following Backstreet Boys’ run there from July to August (get tickets here). Before Backstreet Boys, country star Kenny Chesney will perform there as well (tickets), demonstrating the venue’s recent expansions into new genres.
Speaking to the Post, the source said, “For the Sphere to continue to be on everyone’s radar they need to book some real ‘live’ artists like Styles. Almost everything at the Sphere has been geared for the 60-and-over crowd — The Eagles and The Dead, and even U2.”
As for the venue itself, a Sphere spokeswoman reportedly said, “We do not comment on any artists performing at Sphere except for those who have been announced.”
A residency from Styles would mark his first major activity by our 2022 Artist of the Year since he wrapped his “Love on Tour” tour in 2023. In October, he lost his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne. Earlier this month, he apparently beat over 20,000 runners in the Tokyo Marathon.
