Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves & Content Updates
343 Industries has provided info on Season 2 of Halo Infinite and their plan to minimize critical issues.
Season 2 of Halo Infinite is getting delayed. This means that Season 1, which launched in November, will run until May 2.
Titled, Lone Wolves, Season 2 will arrive on May 3. It will feature a new free Fracture Core for fans to unlock, titled Entrenched. This Fracture Core is unique and is not influenced by the season’s theme, Lone Wolves.
The theme of the new season, Lone Wolves, is meant to highlight lone wolf Spartans. Those that are resourceful and are able to operate deep in enemy territory with no one to support them. Although they work alone, they’re still loyal to their pack.
343 Industries went into detail for two of the new maps coming to Halo Infinite. Catalyst, pictured above, will serve as a new Arena map. While Breaker, pictured below, will be a new Big Team Battle map.
There will also be new modes introduced with Season 2. Last Spartan Standing will be a free-for-all elimination mode. There will be a new mode called Land Grab that will also be added, and fans will see the return of a past favorite, King of the Hill.
343 Industries promises that it will share more news regarding the new modes, maps, and balancing updates as time progresses.

Halo Infinite: Coop Campaign Update
Halo Infinite Season 2 will not be launching with the scheduled co-op campaign.
343 Industries has stated that it just isn’t a realistic deadline for them and they will need more time to deliver the mode as they envision it.
They mention that some of the larger, less linear sections of the maps have created difficulties when implementing split-screen cooperative multiplayer.
343 Industries does go on to clarify that despite the coop campaign not being available at launch, they still plan on releasing it sometime in Season 2.
343 Industries was silent for weeks before this latest blog point which may be the breaking point for some longtime fans of the series.
