Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong joined The Go-Go’s on stage at Coachella over the weekend, performing 1984 track ‘Head Over Heels’ with the reunited LA new wave legends.
With the five original members of The Go-Go’s reuniting for the first time in over seven years, the trailblazing all-female outfit were joined by the frontman.
A huge moment best summed up by Billie Joe’s mid-performance exclamation of “Holy shit I’m playing with The GoGo’s!”, check it out below:
The collaboration came shortly before Billie Joe reunited with his Green Day bandmates to headline the festival’s Saturday night (April 12).

With the deluxe edition of ‘Saviors’ set to arrive on May 23, Green Day have recently shared new single ‘Smash It Like Belushi’.
The trio will return to the UK this June when they headline the Friday night of Download Festival.
