Green Day surprised fans at their huge Citi Field show in New York last night (August 05) with a special tribute to Marvel’s latest blockbuster ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’.
The band’s classic ballad ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’ can be heard over the movie’s end credits and, as Billie Joe Armstrong performed the track on acoustic guitar, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool reappeared onstage dressed as the two superheroes, throwing drumsticks to the crowd.

The song, of course, originally appeared on the album ‘Nimrod’ and has since been certified 5x Platinum in the US.
The band’s current tour sees them perform the albums ‘Dookie’ and ‘American Idiot’ in full alongside material from their latest release ‘Saviors’ which hit No.1 on the UK album chart back in January.
