Grand Theft Auto VI has been set for a Fall 2025 release by developer Rockstar Games.
The release window was announced during parent company Take Two Interactive’s fourth quarter earnings call on Thursday (May 16th).
“We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said.
To say GTA 6 is highly anticipated would be a gross understatement. Grand Theft Auto V remains one of the most popular video games more than a decade after its release.
Rockstar formally confirmed it had begun development on GTA 6 in February 2022, with a report surfacing later that year that it would star a playable woman character (who we now know as Lucia) for the first time.
The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI debuted this past December, offering a first look at Lucia and the newly expanded Vice City. Revisit it below as we await more updates.
