On Sunday, July 13, Graham Nash arrived at Woodstock, N.Y.’s Bearsville Theater for the latest performance in his More Evenings of Songs & Stories 2025 tour. The intimate and acoustically refined historic venue in the Catskills provided the perfect setting for Nash’s stripped-back staging, which presented the legendary singer-songwriter with a closeness that brought new depths of feeling to his unforgettable music.
Nash set off his performance with the Crosby, Stills & Nash essentials “Wasted on the Way” and “Marrakesh Express,” then continued through a litany of group and solo classics like “I Used to Be a King,” “Right Between the Eyes,” “Love the One You’re With,” “Simple Man,” “Love of Mine,” “Cathedral,” freely ruminating on his life with an infectious grace and enthusiasm between songs. To close out the main portion of his set, he delivered a soul-stirring treatment of “Out House,” then returned for a three-song encore culminating in an appropriate cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock.”
