Earlier this week, Goose announced their forthcoming full-length studio album, Everything Must Go, which will be released on April 25, 2025, via No Coincidence Records. In tandem with the announcement, the Connecticut-based band shared the euphoric first single, “Give It Time.” As a follow-up, the group shared the accompanying music video, a seven-minute celebration of companionship filmed, edited, and directed by Michael Nuchareno.

The video opens with Rick Mitaronda singing side profile into a microphone. Cast in shades of purple and red, the singular shot overlaps a clip of the lead vocalist on stage. The amalgamated scenes eventually fade from the lone artist, expanding with the arrival of a group shot that showcases the bandmates and offers a continued unique visual aid that alludes to brotherhood, interconnectedness, and shared experience.

The music video presents like a band log for making the record, including muted conversations that showcase Goose working alongside the LP’s producer, D. James Goodwin, and others. Over time, the track builds toward an instrumental climax–visually complimented with oscillating views of shenanigans [shots of Goose riding a roller coaster, in addition to on and backstage antics] and a reoccurring magenta-tinged solo profile of the singing Mitaronda.

Everything Must Go will mark the band’s first full-length release of studio songs since 2022’s Dripfield. Their latest chapter in a decade-long tenure that began in 2014 builds off the live energy and charisma they are known for: intricate soundscapes spliced with thoughtful interludes of instrumentation propelling their vivacity beyond the jam sphere and into a vortex of indie-rock verve, showcasing each member’s strengthened output.

Goose’s best features expel off the forthcoming set, a driving force of characters that elicit carnivalesque qualities of newly reinforced narrative behind live staples and new songs. “These songs all come from different times and places in a way that captures a part of the journey of the band,” Mitarotonda says. “It moves through time for us, but not in a tidy, linear way. Like the band, it’s okay for things to feel more like a landscape sometimes and less like a singular cohesive statement. It mixes different moods and ideas and characters. The through line is that each piece is part of that journey and that everyone is welcome to the party.”

The ensemble uses the framework of Everything Must Go to present a three-point look at the past, present, and future. As Mitarotonda puts it, “As we were experiencing a significant change in the lives of the band, as well as reflecting on the multitude of fast past changes unfolding around all of us constantly, the title continued to take on many layers of meaning throughout the process.”
