Goose Perform on CBS “Saturday Sessions,” Share Fall Tour Dates and “Everything Must Go” Music Video

We’re entering a golden age for Goose fans. On Friday, April 25, months of mounting anticipation paid off with the arrival of Everything Must Go, the indie-jam quartet’s fourth studio album and first since 2022’s Dripfield. To mark the occasion, the band went down to the Crescent City for their debut performance at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, then followed that headlining set with a collaborative program with The Disco Biscuits and a stealth show at the iconic Preservation Hall. As if that weren’t enough, they made an appearance on CBS Mornings’ “Saturday Sessions” over the weekend, and they’re back today with a new batch of Fall Tour dates and a music video for their new record’s title track.

Goose’s “Saturday Sessions” spotlight comprised an interview with correspondent Anthony Mason at their Connecticut rehearsal space–known affectionately as The Chateau–and a three-song in-studio performance. After a review of the band’s history and the eruption of their fan community, the Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach, Trevor Weekz and Cotter Ellis spoke on the band’s recent movements and momentum, including the decision to part ways with former percussionist Jeff Arevalo.

“It all kind of happened very fast,” Anspach reflected on the situation. “We had like, maybe two days or something before we knew we were just going out on the road as a four-piece, and then it ended up being great, you know? We really bonded.” When Mason asked if they intended to remain in their quartet configuration, Mitarotonda responded, “Certainly for now.”

In the performance portion of the segment, the band presented the first televised treatments of preview singles “Give It Time,” “Your Direction” and “Thatch.” Watch the landmark live plays below, as well as the new high-concept stop motion music video for “Everything Must Go.”

Goose will return to the stage for their highly anticipated Viva El Gonzo destination event from May 8-10. After a packed 25-show Summer Tour–including several high-profile festival bookings and their first headline performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden–the band will launch its newly announced string of Fall Tour dates, which collects eight shows in the Midwest and Southeast (one with Mt.
