Chelsea Pezzola is a Golf Channel host and professional golfer, having played at the collegiate level at the University of Michigan, before becoming a professional. “Blasting drives into the freshly snow dusted Swiss Alps in the middle of summer just hits different. ☀️⛳️❄️Shoutout to #PXGTroop @mrfarhadheydari for the commentary @pxg @pxguk @stmoritz @engadingolf,” she says on Instagram. We know she golfs, but how else does she stay so fit in her spare time? Here’s what we found out.
Might be an obvious one, but of course she golfs a lot, as a professional golfer and host for the golf channel. According to Better Health, “golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.” It continues on to mention that playing the game regularly can help the player tone, build endurance, potentially lose weight, and stay fit.
“My perfect day is catching the first tee time at the course, getting a quick 18 in then heading to the beach,” she said to Golf Digest, “to work on the tan lines I got earlier that morning, as you might have seen in my recent Cabo pictures… course then beach with my friends aka “The Blondtourage.”
“If you know me, you know I’m ALWAYS on the go. These shoes by @gdefy are a GAME CHANGER & perfect for any active summer lifestyle. 👟💚☀️#GDEFY #GDEFYSHOES,” she says in an Instagram post. She laces up her shoes and tuckers her pup out on long walks.
Setting goals, especially writing them down or making them known publicly, is so beneficial. “At the end of the day, my biggest goal is grow women’s golf. Golf has been such an influential piece of my life and I want other women to have the same opportunity to have the experiences I’ve had,” she said to Golf Digest.
Family time can be so important for mental clarity and health. “One of my favorite moments in golf so far was being in Dubai and getting to share that experience with my mom and stepdad,” she said to Golf Digest. “Its crazy that golf has taken me to so many different, amazing places but getting to share that with my family was pretty special. They’ve given up everything for me so to be able to share that with them really meant a lot to me.”
