God Street Wine have announced March 2025 tour dates. The New York City jamband shared that this spring, they will participate in a tight series of shows starting on March 7, 2025, at Ardmore Music Hall, just outside Philadelphia.
News of the ensemble’s impending appearances arrives after two successful 30th-anniversary concerts [Woodstock, N.Y. and Asbury Park, N.J.], positioned to mark their first major label release, $1.99 Romances, in addition to the digital drop of long-lost Hot Sweet & Juicy set.
After closing out their first night on the road, God Street Wine will bring their live show to The Atlantis in Washington, D.C., on March 8. Next, they will take a short break from the stage, ultimately resuming their run on March 13 at Boston’s The Sinclair. From Bean Town, the group will depart for jam haven, Nectar’s, in Burlington, Vt., on March 14.
For the band’s final stop, they will go to the newly reopened Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, N.Y. There, God Street Wine is slated to record a live album, giving attendees a unique opportunity to participate in the group’s live taping–an intimate experience for any fan of live music.
God Street Wine’s history extends back to 1988 and aligns with the rise of fellow New York jam doyens, Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors. Comprised of Lo Faber, Aaron Maxwell, Dan Pifer, Jon Bevo, and Tom Osander, the band’s status flourished with the combined might of the H.O.R.D.E. tour and other high-profile slots, including runs with The Allman Brothers Band, The Black Crowes and Bruce Hornsby.
GSW performed a staggering 1,000 concerts in their first decade, charging experiences into five albums. They called it quits in 1999 following a three-night stand at Wetlands Preserve–the concert was tapped and later released as a posthumous live album aptly titled Good To the Last Drop.
The band’s return to the scene arrived in the form of private live engagements, which slowly grew into gigs in the 2010s, a documentary film, 25th-anniversary box sets, and the full-length album This Fine Town in 2019.
Tickets go on sale Friday, October 2, 2024, at 10 a.m. Venue titles have been hyperlinked for simplified purchases.
