GMA's Lara Spencer Rocks Swimsuit Saying "Here we GO OLYMPICS!!!"

Lara Spencer is one of the hosts of ABC’s Good Morning America. The show is preparing to cover The Olympics. Spencer shared some photos on Instagram of herself doing different Olympic sports to advertise the event. She captioned the post, “Here we GO OLYMPICS!!! We synchro swam. We kayak crossed. We ponged. And it’s finally here!!! Tune in to @goodmorningamerica today and everyday for our coverage from Paris. @jamesaalongman you ROCK.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lara Spencer stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Spencer likes to swim to stay in shape. She talked about this in her Parade interview. “I enjoy swimming laps,” Spencer revealed. “it’s a great workout and also allows me to get into a meditative state so it’s very relaxing. I love the quiet and the rhythm of swimming. I do it quite a bit in the summer, but not very much in the winter.”

Spencer does a lot of different things to stay in shape. She shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Parade. Spencer says that her workouts are dependent on the seasons and weather. “I turn to yoga, preferably in a warm room, during the cold months,” Spencer revealed. “I do yoga year round but find myself craving it more in the fall and winter.”

Spencer also talked about her diet to Parade. “I eat what I want, in moderation,” she said. “I gravitate toward fresh veggies and clean foods, thankfully, but I am also a sucker for a cupcake every once in a while. I make sure to eat lots of kale, broccoli, blueberries, strawberries and spinach. We do enough stories on superfoods on GMA. I know what I should be eating, and I really try to stick with that.

Spencer is a big fan of tennis. She tells Parade, “I play tennis year round. I am on a USTA team and just got bumped up to a 4.0 rating so I am really excited. As a former athlete, I love the competition. I play both singles and doubles and would play every day if I could! I wish I had known about tennis as a kid. Unlike platform diving, it’s a sport I can play for the rest of my life.”

She talked about her recovery process with Good Morning America. “I’m up to almost a mile a day walking and at physical therapy I ride the bike and do loads of exercises. Again if you have had this surgery or if you have to have a hip replacement or any major surgery, I implore you to please, please do the exercises because that has gotten me really where I am today. I am so hopeful that I will be back with you guys before you know it.”
