Gladiators Star Comet, aka Ella-Mae Rayner, in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Train Legs With Me"

Ella-Mae Rayner, known as “Comet” on Gladiators, is dedicated to her fitness both on and off the screen, often sharing her intense leg workouts and training routines on Instagram. In a recent post, she gave fans a look at her quad-focused leg day, offering a challenging and efficient sequence to build strength and sculpt the lower body. Rayner’s fitness philosophy is rooted in pushing beyond comfort zones and using challenging weights to drive change, a mindset she inspires her followers to adopt.

In her Instagram video, Rayner is seen doing leg extensions. Asphalt Green states that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “Leg extensions using this exercise machine work your thighs. In fact, that’s basically the only thing that they work. That’s great if you want to build strength and mass quickly.”

Rayner is also seen doing squats to stay in shape in her Instagram video. Piedmont states that squats have a lot of benefits. “Squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back. A squat has more overall benefits than, say, a bicep curl, which strengthens an isolated area.”

Rayner is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that doing lunges has a lot of health benefits. “If you’re doing front and back lunges, you’ll primarily be working the gluteus maximus, adductors, and quadriceps. Side lunges will work the gluteus medius more. And if you’re taking bigger steps forward and back, you’ll use more of the glute muscles, while smaller steps will target the quadriceps more.”

Rayner is seen using weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that doing exercises with weights has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

When it comes to working out, Rayner likes to challenge herself. She encouraged others to do the same in the caption of this Instagram post. “My killer glutes and hammies session 👆🏽Watch reel for full workout 🔥🍑 Remember to use a weight that CHALLENGES you, change doesn’t come from comfort zones. Save it and follow for all things fitness 💪🏽”
