Girls Aloud have marked their 20th anniversary with a special vinyl of their classic hit ‘Sound Of The Underground’, which has topped the charts once again.
The vinyl, which also includes a never-heard-before alternate vocal version, has reached number 1 on the Official Vinyl Single Charts.
100% of the proceeds from each copy will be donated to the Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, which is part of the Christie Charitable Fund.
After beating their Popstars: The Rivals competitors to the Christmas Number 1 in December 2002, Sound Of The Underground went on to spend four weeks at the top of the chart, and heralded in a run of 22 magnificent chart smashes that defined a decade in pop.
Alongside the alternate vocal version, the vinyl also comes with a set of ‘Buy Girls, Bye Boys’ stickers, a nod to their campaign in the early days of promoting ‘Sound Of The Underground’.

It comes after Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola took part in a series of fundraising events in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding, with a gala and a ‘Race For Life For Sarah’ event, with thousands taking part.
The girls also collaborated with Primark, with a collection of night-wear, with proceeds going to The Christie and Cancer Research UK.
