Here are 5 of her secrets.
Gigi makes sure to take care of her skin, and that doesn’t mean she has an elaborate routine. “I’ve really simplified my routine to just the necessities of the necessities,” she says to Grazia. “Obviously when I’m working, I do more. But when I’m home, I’m on mom duty full-time. I wake up in the morning, wash my face, moisturise, put on deodorant, and love to add a fragrance. But if I don’t have time, I’m not going to wear makeup. My hair is always in a bun so it doesn’t get pulled out. Obviously, I still have moments where I get a little bit dressed up. Or I try to make me-time during the week, which is just a facial or take a really long shower just to relax.”
Gigi shared some of her favorite skin and face products in an interview with Vogue. She says that she makes sure to keep her lips hydrated. Gigi uses the Lanolips ointment on them. “When you moisturize your lips in the beginning, it can kind of sit on your lips through your routine, so that when you get to lipstick at the end, it’s sat for a bit,” she explains.
Gigi makes sure to keep herself in shape. She loves going to the gym to box. “I rode horses and played volleyball back home,” Gigi tells Harper’s Bazaar. “So, when I came to New York it was hard for me to just go to the gym. I need to have a sport that wakes me up and that I can get better at, and boxing does that for me. I usually go to Gotham Gym in the West Village.”
To improve her boxing skills, Gigi works with a personal trainer. “My boxing trainer has become my coach,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “The coach-player thing has been really important my whole life. My work ethic obviously comes from my parents, but it was really pounded into me by my coaches, so it’s key that I have that to feel good in the city and at home. They’re like my brothers. It’s great.”
When it comes to her diet, Gigi tells Harper’s Bazaar that she believes in moderation. “My personal motto is ‘Eat clean to stay fit, have a burger to stay sane’,” she says. “So if I’m in the mood I’ll go to JG Melon in the West Village. Again, I love the Smile. They have a little arugula salad that I could eat every day.”
