Lena Hall has already conquered the world of Broadway and is the recipient of a Tony Award and now she’s becoming a TV star as well!
The Tony-winning actress is receiving rave reviews for her work on the new Apple TV+ series Your Friends and Neighbors and she has released an EP featuring the music she sings on the show.
Lena stars as Jon Hamm‘s sister in the series, which finds his character suddenly divorced and jobless, so he begins robbing his wealthy neighbors to stay afloat. New episodes premiere every Friday!
We caught up with Lena to learn more about her, including her reality TV show past. Check out 10 Fun Facts below.
- I am part Filipino. My grandfather on my father’s side immigrated to the US from the Philippines and is part of a long line of artists from the Philippines. I believe my great aunt was a movie star in the Philippines. I actually want to know more about my heritage so maybe Find Your Roots will have me on their show.
- I was on two reality TV shows years ago. Legally Blonde: The Search For The Next Elle Woods and but for a fleeting moment, on Popstars 2! What’s really crazy is that Paul Canaan and I went and auditioned for Popstars 2 together and later he would be a judge on Legally Blonde: The Search, the show I was a contestant on… of course we weren’t allowed to say we knew each other or that we had worked together before.
- I have 2 collectible square body trucks. Mint! I bought the first truck during the pandemic cause… It’s so pretty it’s a 1987 Chevy V10. And a 1973 Bronco that was a gift for Christmas from my husband. I absolutely LOVE square body trucks.
- I am a natural blonde.
- I am perimenopausal. I’m proud of it and I will talk about it to anyone who asks cause it’s really important for us to have the right information about this time in a woman’s life.

- I’ve been sober for over 9 years. It started as a curiosity “I wonder how I’ll feel if I just stop drinking for a month?” Then I just kept asking the question so I never stopped and I never want to go back.
- I was a serious ballerina growing up. My father was an artistic director of a ballet company in San Francisco and still teaches at age 93 soon to be 94.
- I sang for the Pope at 7 years old. It was at Candlestick Park Stadium in San Francisco and I sang a song I can’t remember for over 40K people. You could say it was the peek of my career. Lol.
- I am a little sister, an aunt and a musician IRL, so I can really relate to my character Ali on Your Friends and Neighbors. Plus, playing Jon Hamm’s little sister and getting to sing… it isn’t a bad gig.
- I was a classically trained pianist. I still play piano when I get a chance. I played LIVE in the TV series Snowpiercer which was terrifying.
