Bouchard shared some of her fitness and health secrets with SELF. She says that she loves to cook eggs in the morning. “I’m not a cooking person, so there’s not much in the fridge. On the rare occasion that I do cook, I make myself breakfast. Eggs are my go-to in the morning for some protein. Orange juice as well. You have to start your day off with that.”
Bouchard loves to swim to keep herself in shape. She tells SELF that she swims as a way to help her recover. “I love going to the beach and swimming in the ocean. I think it’s so relaxing. It’s also a great form of active recovery. It’s perfect for those rest days when you still want to move a little bit.” The Cleveland Clinic states that swimming has a lot of health benefits. “We’re not saying that swimming is easy (far from it!), but swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”
Bouchard shared how she stays positive in her interview with SELF. “I always try to remind myself that things can happen when you least expect them to. You just have to keep working hard and suddenly things will click. That’s the experience that I’ve had in my career. I trust that if I’m doing the right things and I’m on the right path, even if times are tough, eventually I’ll reach my goal.”

Bouchard shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is lift weights. In this video, she is seen doing tricep curls, pulldowns, and pulley rows. ACE Fitness states that lifting weights has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights increases production of the hormone IGF-1. This hormone is related to the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which is a neurotransmitter responsible for stimulating the growth of new neural pathways in the brain along with enhancing communication between existing pathways. In short, lifting heavy could make you smarter by enhancing cognitive function.”
