General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) remains single – at least for now – but his portrayer is happily taken! Steve Burton and Michelle Lundstrom went public with their relationship back in May 2024 – and now there’s proof of just how well things are going in their romance.
In a new joint social media post, the happy couple shared an engagement announcement.
In one of the pics featured on his Instagram reel, Burton could be seen down on one knee as he popped the question to Lundstrom.
There were some other photos of Lundstrom and Burton looking blissful as well, so it was great to see a little glimpse of their marriage proposal and get confirmation that she said yes.
Burton and Lundstrom revealed that their engagement became official on January 3, so they’re definitely kicking the new year off right.
It’s clear that Lundstrom and Burton are eager to lock in a wonderful future together.
Burton and Lundstrom’s engagement announcement also included a scripture that’s proved meaningful to them on their love journey.

“Engaged 1/3/25,” the couple confirmed. “Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
In the comments, some other soap stars were quick to chime in and congratulate the duo on their romantic milestone.
“Wooooo hoooooo. Congratulations,” Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) said before adding a heart emoji.
“Oh Steve!!!! Congratulations! I wish you both all the happiness in the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations Michelle!” Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) said before including some heart emojis as well.
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless, ex-Nina Reeves on GH), Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez on Days of Our Lives), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair on The Young and the Restless) and plenty of others shared well wishes of their own.
Now that Steve Burton has asked Michelle Lundstrom to become his wife, they’ve obviously got some wedding plans in the works.
