Ever since Kelly Monaco was given the boot from GH, viewers have been hoping to hear her side of the story.
That’s no doubt why Benard has been getting plenty of requests to have Monaco on his show.
Maurice Benard felt the need to clarify the situation on X, formerly known as Twitter, and let fans know that he’s indeed asked Monaco to come on State of Mind.
Monaco hasn’t accepted the offer yet, so Benard suggested he didn’t want to be too pushy about it.
“People keep asking to have Kelly Monico on @mbstateofmind I have asked people will do things when they’re ready. I’m not one to push.
I would imagine she has much more important things on her plate,” Benard said.
It’s clear that the door’s wide open if Monaco ever decides to spill her GH experience on State of Mind.
That said, Benard also acknowledged that Monaco might be too busy to join him.
Ever since Kelly Monaco was fired at GH, there’s been buzz about her potentially scoring another soap job.
It’s certainly possible Monaco will show up on Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless or even The Bold and the Beautiful.
Regardless, Benard’s comment about Monaco perhaps having more important things on her plate could be a hint about her scoring a new role somewhere.
There’s no guarantee Benard has any inside knowledge of that, but he might’ve been suggesting that Monaco was busy with other film and television projects.
Although there are tons of GH fans who’d love to see Monaco back in Port Charles, it’d be great to see her succeed anywhere!
