General Hospital’s Jeff Kober Speaks Out After Fatal Exit, How He Really Feels About Cyrus Getting Killed Off

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jeff Kober (Cyrus Renault) is speaking out after his character’s fatal exit and sharing how he really feels about Cyrus getting killed off. In a dramatic twist, it was Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) who finally wiped Cyrus off the map – and now Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) is set to help her cover it up!

Since Cyrus finally met his maker, that means fans will have to bid farewell to Jeff Kober.

Whether you love Cyrus or hate him, there’s no denying that Kober is a unique, compelling performer who brought a lot to the table during his run on the show.

In an interview with SOD, Kober acknowledged that his character was only supposed to be around for six months in the beginning, but he managed to last five years instead.

After Kober suggested “that’s four-and-a-half years of gravy,” he assured everyone that he’s feeling thankful.

Although Kober admitted he jokingly gave GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini a hard time about his firing, there aren’t any genuine hard feelings.

“I have nothing but gratitude toward Frank. I did want to torture him at least a little bit for letting me go, so I did that, but all in good fun,” Kober insisted.

Right after Jeff Kober wrapped filming, he took off on a trip to India for almost a month.

As a result, Kober said he’s just now processing his departure from the show.

Despite wishing Cyrus’ point of view had been explored a little more from an acting standpoint, Kober clearly loved the chance to play in this soapy sandbox for so long.

It’s been tough for Kober to realize he won’t be doing that anymore, but he’s appreciative of the whole experience and the freedom he was given with the character.

“I miss going to work, I miss the people, I miss the process. I gotta tell you, I love acting on a soap, Kober confessed.

Kober suggested this was one of the best death scenes he’s ever filmed and seems really pleased with the way things turned out.

As for the fans, Kober had plenty of praise for viewers who have shown him love and support.

Overall, it’s easy to see that Kober is walking away content with Cyrus’ conclusion and the work he put into the role.
