General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Tyler Christopher’s (ex-Nikolas Cassadine) former co-stars have been speaking out following the news of his sudden passing. This tragedy comes on the heels of Jacklyn Zeman’s (Bobbie Spencer) demise earlier this year along with the recent loss of Billy Miller (ex-Drew Cain).
Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) was the first to address Tyler Christopher’s sad fate in an Instagram post, which mentioned that Christopher was gone after a cardiac event in his own home.
Benard had some lovely things to say about Christopher as an actor, a mental health advocate and an all-around wonderful person.
“We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father,” Benard said as he concluded his post.
Nicolas Bechtel (ex-Spencer Cassadine) also posted a sweet tribute message to his former TV dad and offered his condolences to Christopher’s grieving loved ones on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Our chemistry was unmatched. Working with you for so many years was a pleasure and a blessing. Some may argue we were the greatest Father/Son duo on Daytime, and I agree,” Bechtel said. “My heart is with Greysun, Bo, and all of the people who love you. Rest in Eternal Peace.
Sean Kanan currently plays Deacon Sharpe on The Bold and the Beautiful, but many fans will remember him from his days of playing AJ Quartermaine on GH as well.
Kanan was clearly shocked over the grim updates and decided to post his own special farewell message.
“Stunned to hear that Tyler Christopher passed away. I have no words. RIP my friend,” Kanan said.
Former General Hospital star William deVry (Julian Jerome) also took a moment to reflect on all the losses this year, including Christopher’s abrupt passing.
“These last 12 months at #GH have been incredibly painful for many,” deVry said. “RIP #TylerChristopher Gone way too soon. Had plenty more to write.”
Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht) and more shared some meaningful words as they reflected on this devastating outcome.
Despite never actually getting a chance to share scenes, Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer Cassadine) took a moment to appreciate Christopher’s art and express gratitude for the work he did.
“Tyler we never had the opportunity to work with one another but in the process of working on GH I’ve watched tons of tape on you,” Chavez said. “You were one hell of an actor and it pains me to know that you’re gone. Thank you for the meaningful contributions you made to our medium. Rest easy”
It’s clear that everyone at the show’s still trying to come to grips with losing such an amazing performer and kind heart!
