General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) recently shared some disappointing news on social media. Many GH viewers love Scotty’s quirky sense of humor and Shriner’s unique portrayal, but it looks like we’re losing both – at least according to Shriner.
Since Shriner often uses his Twitter account to stay in touch with fans and keep them informed, he hopped on and delivered some updates about his status with the show.
Unfortunately, Shriner insists he was written out, which means Scott Baldwin’s exit is coming up.
After Shriner dropped that bomb, he was quick to offer his gratitude to all the loyal viewers out there.
“I just found out Scotty @GeneralHospital was written out I thank u @GeneralHospital fans for decades of supporting me !!” Kin Shriner tweeted as confirmation.
Of course, we should note that Shriner has made similar declarations on Twitter before, but Scott always seems to keep popping back up. It could be a situation where this forced departure will turn out to be temporary.
Unless there are major behind-the-scenes issues that would keep Scott off canvas, it’s just tough to imagine that they’d want to write out a fan favorite forever.
If Shriner is willing to come back, then the show will surely write him back in down the road. However, Shriner felt the need to share this exit news for now and alert fans to what was going on.
Naturally, Shriner got a flood of retweets, likes and comments as everyone expressed how bummed they were over this decision.
Scott is often quite useful as an attorney in Port Charles – and many people were hoping he might get his love story with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) back on track, too.
There’s still hope for the future, but Kin Shriner claims he’s being written out and that means Scott Baldwin is exiting the show for the time being.
