General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans are buzzing over the possibility of Michael Corinthos (last played by Chad Duell) being portrayed by another actor.
Is Rory Gibson (ex-Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless) playing the new Michael? Could the Y&R alum be in the running for this recast GH role?
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Robert Adamson (ex-temporary Michael Corinthos) complained in a new deleted post about not getting a chance to read for the part of recast Michael.
That obviously makes it sound like a search is underway for someone who can take over for Chad Duell. Adamson may be off the table as a permanent replacement, but there are plenty of other actors who could step into Michael’s shoes.
That brings us to some social media speculation that’s running wild at the moment. There’s no confirmation on who might be the official Michael recast, but one name has emerged as a possibility.
Rory Gibson has some GH-related follows and followers on Instagram – including Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Corinthos) and Holly Gagnier (ex-Jennifer Smith and acting coach to multiple GH stars).
Gibson took over the Y&R role of Noah Newman back in 2021, but he faded out after failing to catch fire with fans due to lackluster storylines.
Noah now lives in London and remains off-screen other than an occasional visit with his family.
Gibson actually took over the role from Adamson, who previously played Noah.
Now Gibson could potentially land in another role Adamson has played – albeit temporarily – if he ends up being the next Michael Corinthos.
Again, nothing is confirmed yet, so fans are still just speculating and considering what Gibson’s addition would mean for the show.
Gibson is certainly handsome and talented, so it’s just a matter of whether he’s the right fit for Michael and whether he’d have chemistry with his leading ladies.
