General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a recently deleted X (formerly known as Twitter) post has many fans asking: Is GH recasting Michael Corinthos?
A leak points to Chad Duell’s (ex-Michael Corinthos) replacement, so let’s talk about the possibility of a brand-new face taking on the role.
Although the door was initially left open for Chad Duell to potentially reclaim the part of Michael, GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini didn’t rule out the option of recasting when he confirmed Duell’s exit.
“There are no plans to recast his role at this time, but you never know in daytime,” Valentini said back in November.
Now there’s evidence to suggest that the show is indeed moving forward with recasting the role of Michael.
The leak came from actor Robert Adamson, who voiced some frustration on X.
Adamson apparently wasn’t allowed to audition as an official recast despite his past temporary Michael stints on the show.
“@GeneralHospital Thanks for having me in to read for the recast of Michael,” Adamson said sarcastically in his now deleted post.
He went on to say , “Covered the role not once, not twice, but three times without notice or time to physically prepare. But I don’t even get an opportunity to read.”
It sounds like the powers that be have decided to go in a different direction, but the interesting part of all this is that there’s seemingly a Michael recast effort underway.
If all goes well, Michael could be airing with a new actor in the role soon enough.
Of course, some viewers may have mixed feelings about that news.
Although plenty of fans were holding out hope for Chad Duell’s return, we can also understand the show’s desire to get Michael back on-screen as soon as possible – even if that means recasting.
