General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that three story shockers are coming up, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on the ABC soap. GH Co-Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte spoke to SOD about what’s next for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and more, so here’s what they had to say.
1) Huge Faison survival hint
For starters, Van Etten and Korte offered a big clue that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) might be alive and part of Britt’s return storyline, which fits with hints that fans have seen on-screen as well.
Korte and Van Etten acknowledged that bringing characters back from the grave can be tricky, but they suggested certain soapy factors can make things work.
“It helps that Britt is the offspring of two larger-than-life parents. Faison and Obrecht [Kathleen Gati] exist in that soap opera space in which anything is possible,” the co-head scribes teased.
2) Brook Lynn’s mistake has far worse consequences
Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten also discussed their setup for Britt’s comeback, which involved Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) finding out how he came into the world.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) blunder led to Rocco getting updates on the stolen embryo mess and gave him a reason to bond with Liesl.
Now that Brook Lynn has let the cat out of the bag regarding Britt and how she gave birth to “Ben” aka Rocco, the consequences are going to be far greater than she could’ve imagined.
Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is already furious with Brook Lynn, but she’s bound to get even angrier as time goes on.
“Brook Lynn has started a chain of events that will spiral out of her and Lulu’s control, and be felt across the canvas,” Van Etten and Korte promised.
3) Jason puts someone else at risk through Britt search
Plus, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten hinted that Jason will unleash some dangerous drama through his efforts to track Britt down.
Although Jason considered leaving Britt alone and accepting her decision to fake her demise, his change of heart will lead to chaos.
“What Jason doesn’t know is that confronting Britt may put other people in danger — one person, in particular, who is very close to him,” Van Etten and Korte said.
Of course, it makes sense that person will be Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who is Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) daughter and someone Jason cares about a great deal.
Since Josslyn is gearing up for a mission at the same resort where Britt is staying, there’s going to be double the trouble at the Five Poppies!
