Another General Hospital star has exited, but this particular actor has not appeared on the show in a while!
Actor Réal Andrews, who portrayed Marcus Taggert on the show, has not been seen on the fan fave soap in over a year. However, he got another job opportunity and is officially stepping away. He appeared in nearly 250 episodes of the show.

On Instagram, he announced, “My chapter with General Hospital is over. The writing has been on the wall for a long time. I wanted to come here because you guys have been phenomenal, the best, amazing supporters.”
He explained, “I got offered what is the biggest role in my life. It’s [with] the biggest and best network, the best director, producers, writers, in my opinion, in the industry. We’re in pre-production for it.”
He shared, “It’s the biggest project of my life, ever. The most important one. And everything comes together, and happens for a reason, right? Everything I’ve done in my whole life was for this role.”

He didn’t rule out a return to the series in the future though, so his fans are psyched for him!
