A GENERAL Hospital alum has returned to set more than 20 years after her abrupt exit.
Amber Tamblyn, 40, made a special appearance in a behind-the-scenes look at the General Hospital‘s 60th anniversary.
On her blog, Amber discussed the history of her character on the iconic soap opera, Emily Quartermaine, and what it was like being on the set again.
The Hollywood actress portrayed her character on the show from 1995 to 2001.
In a video posted to her blog, she took viewers on her journey returning to her old workplace.
‘AMAZING AND EMOTIONAL’
She recorded conversations with old co-workers including Jon Lindstrom, 66, and Maurice Benard, 60, and what happens behind the scenes when the cameras start rolling.

She said: “Wow. That was amazing and emotional and beautiful. I’m now heading out and what a special, special day to visit my old General Hospital family again.”
To end her blog filled with memories and nostalgia, she said: “As I pulled my car off the ABC lot at the end of the day, I was overwhelmed with a sense of love and gratitude and a pride in my work and my part in the legacy of the show and all that I’ve been able to accomplish so far in my life.
“Still got it, and still gettin’ it. How lucky am I? I’ve thought since then, To live this wildly creative, unique life that contains multitudes: to love how far I’ve come and love even more the experience of returning to where I came from.
“Happy 60th to my whole General Hospital cast and crew! What an honor it was to be on a stage with all of you.”
