PIERS Morgan was fuming after fans after they compared him to one of the characters in Home Alone.
The broadcaster was forced to set the record straight on X after he was bombarded with photos of Brenda Fricker, who played the Pigeon Lady.
This has become an annual occurrence for Piers, who clearly has had enough of the comparison.
Sharing a snap of the mysterious character who befriends Kevin McCallister in the Christmas film, Piers wrote: “It’s. Not. Me.” adding two angry emojis.
His irritation was sparked by a fan who wrote: “Watching Home Alone Lost in New York and forgot Piers Morgan has a role in this film,” with a crying emoji.
Another had superimposed his face onto the Pigeon Lady and asked Piers: “Are you sure?”
A third lined a photo of Piers beside Brenda’s and wrote: “Uncanny”.
This joke has been going since 2018 when his own son Spencer tweeted an image of the character.
“Chilled night watching Home Alone 2,” Spencer Morgan wrote.
“Always forget you’re in it @piersmorgan.”
Suzanna Reid decided to wind him up about it on Good Morning Britain in 2020.
Discussing the 1992 sequel, Suzanna pointed out the similarity.
“Can we just have a look at Home Alone 2 because, frankly, it is the best picture,” Reid asked. “Lots of people watch Home Alone 2 and wonder if this is you.”
Piers asked: “Why does this keep coming around? That is not me. I am not the bag lady in Home Alone 2.”
Fans have been enjoying the classic Christmas film over the festive period.
Now over 30 years old, the film has become a time capsule of the nineties.
It’s no secret that the cost of living is far higher now than it was back then, but viewers were shocked by a particular detail in the film.
In the holiday classic, Kevin’s (Macaulay Culkin) brother Buzz is tasked with ordering enough pizza for the whole family.
According to Esquire, the bill would have come to $122.50, which at the time would have been an eye-watering figure.
The film was released in 1990 and set around the same time.
Since then, the United States has seen the prices of goods, including food, rise significantly.
Today, that same order would run the McCallister family a whopping $288.
Viewers were also stunned to see Macaulay reunite with his on-screen mum earlier this month.
Catherine, who is now 69, beamed as she supported him at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
As well as Home Alone, Catherine went onto star in Schitt’s Creek, which came to an end after six seasons in 2020.
