Fucked Up’s new full-length is ‘One Day’ by name and nature, with the band creating it in just 24 hours.
Fucked Up are back and doing what they do best.
Exactly what they want.
They’ve shared the details of their new full-length album ‘One Day’ which will be dropping on January 27 via Merge Records.
And it’s called ‘One Day’, because that’s exactly the amount of time it was made in. 24 hours.
Guitarist Mike Haliechuk had this to say, following him coming up with the idea back in 2019:
“After you’ve been in a band for this long, you lose track of what your sound actually is. Twenty-four hours can feel like a long time, but you can get a lot done then, too. It can feel like forever and one minute at the same time. If you work on something for one day, it can end up being really special.”
The artwork looks like this:
And the tracklisting like this:
01. Found
02. I Think I Might Be Weird
03. Huge New Her
04. Lords of Kensington
05. Broken Little Boys
06. Nothing’s Immortal
07. Falling Right Under
08. One Day
09. Cicada
10. Roar
You can also hear the first taste in the form of the title track which is a harmony-filled, guttural, joyful piece of forward-thinking hardcore.
Just the way the band like it.
