Fontaines D.C. have shared a cover version of Bring Me The Horizon‘s ‘Can You Feel My Heart’, featuring a mash-up with Nirvana‘s classic ‘Heart-Shaped Box’.
With ‘Can You Feel My Heart’ first appearing on Bring Me The Horizon’s 2013 album ‘Sempiternal’ before a resurgence in popularity on TikTok in 2021, ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ featured on Nirvana’s third and final full-length ‘In Utero’, released in 1993.
Combining the two tracks for Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’ series, the Irish band’s rendition is as hauntingly moody as you may expect, taking out the guitars and stripping it down to something truly beautiful.

In a behind-the-scenes video, guitarist Conor Curley explains their choice to cover the Bring Me The Horizon hit:
“It was Grian [Chatten, vocalist]’s idea initially and I think the sound of that song – the kind of electronic elements and just the general vibe of it – reflects stuff that we were touching on on our last album ‘Romance’. So it seemed like a good place to start, and it’s a moody, beautiful song.”
