Five clues Oasis were secretly plotting reunion – did you spot them all?

Liam Gallagher may have let the cat out of the rock band bag at the Reading Festival earlier this month, when he gave a huge clue the brothers would be reuniting

The news of the Oasis reunion has been billed as one of the biggest comebacks of the rock world with fans in a frenzy over bagging a ticket.

While the announcement of brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reuniting after a 15-year hiatus sent shockwaves around the rock world, some supersonic super sleuths believe the signs were pointing to a reunion long before it was announced.

The feuding brothers famously parted ways in 2009 following several very public spats.

Now the duo have put their differences aside to bring the iconic band back to the stage with a set of shows for next summer, including headlining Glastonbury and a 14-gig comeback tour next summer.

The 400 million pound question is: Did you spot the signs before it was announced?

In another post on X five days ago, before the news was announced, Liam seemed to hint he didn’t like being an ex-band member of Oasis.

He teased fans saying: “I never did like that word former.”

One fan replied: “Liam don’t play with my emotions,” while another said: “oh god it’s happening it’s ACTUALLY happening!”

Speculation also started swirling last Friday when Liam, 51, quickly deleted another post about his brother Noel, 57, saying: “Let’s not fall out before it’s even begun.”

CLUE 3: Gene lets slip

Speaking to the Sunday Times Style, he mentioned that he’s close with his uncle Noel’s daughter Anaïs.

Describing the group as “one big happy family,” he noted they often joke about an Oasis reunion.

When asked if Oasis could be getting back together, Gene said: “Nothing to do with me.”

“I mean, will they? I don’t know. I would love it but it’s so beyond my control.”

He added: “I get the feeling my dad wants it too. Let’s hope it happens.”

Noel’s daughter Anais caused another fan frenzy after posting a picture from the end of the Blossoms gig she was at with friends at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on Sunday.

The Stockport-based English indie rock band have been long-time supporters of Noel and the High Flying Birds, the rock band formed in 2010 as Noel’s solo moniker.

The band ran a teaser at end of their gig, showing their support for the yet-to-be-announced reunion by cryptically posting the date 27.08.24 followed by 8 am.

Anais’s followers went wild, with one saying: “You said yourself (at some radio show) that could never happen again for reasons you couldn’t disclose! As the Backstreet Boys said, Quit playing games with my heart!” Another said: What do you know Anais?”

Following the announcement of their return in 2025, music industry expert Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE, chairman of talent agency InterTalent, told The Sun the reunion could easily rake in more than £400million.

He said: “With tickets, sponsorship, merchandise and filming, I would predict an income for Noel and Liam of over £50million each.”

“This is a tour that could easily gross over £400million.”

The upcoming tour is anticipated to be the most in-demand tour in British concert history.
