Josie Hamming is sweating up a storm in her workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness influencer shows off her impressive physique in a two-piece exercise set.”Time isn’t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point that is out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time-past and future-the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is,” she captioned the Instagram video, quoting Eckart Tolle. “Beast mode,” commented one of her followers. “Gorgeous,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
“When it comes to my diet, I eat pretty clean on a daily basis, but if I want a cookie…I’m going to eat a cookie. I do not restrict certain foods just because it ‘doesn’t fit my macros.’ I think the healthiest approach to food is allowing yourself a treat (or a couple of treats) throughout the week without feeling guilty about it,” Josie told Kill Cliff about her approach to eating.
Josie enjoys soaking in the hot tub. “Josie and Billie go on a field-trip,” she captioned a post from Blue Ridge, Georgia. If you don’t have access to a hot tub, just take a bath. They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
Josie is a hiker. “I read in a book somewhere that a bathing suit was considered proper hiking attire #idontmaketherules,” she joked in a post, hiking in her bathing suit. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
Josie also runs. Here she is sprinting on the treadmill. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
Josie’s main form of fitness is strength training. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
