Fever 333 have unleashed the new single “Ready Rock.” The song will be featured on the band’s as-yet-untitled new album, arriving later this year via Century Media.
Still led by dynamic frontman Jason Aalon Butler, Fever 333 underwent a major lineup change last year. Following the departures of guitarist Stephen Harrison and drummer Aric Improta, Butler tapped drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta), bassist April Kae, and guitarist Brandon Davis to form the revamped band lineup.
“Ready Rock” is the second single from the new Fever 333 lineup, following last year’s “$wing.” A press release on the new song states, “With this month (February) being Black History Month, ‘Ready Rock’ pays homage to black artists of the past that unequivocally built rock n’ roll into what it is today. Fever bring light to the lineage of iconic rock sounds and sonics that have often gone uncredited to their proper black creators, with the assertion, Rock Music is Black Music.”
The song features Butler delivering rapid-fire verses before kicking into a riff-heavy chorus and then going full hardcore at the 1:47 mark.
Fever 333, who put on an electrifying live show, are currently the special guests on Enter Shikari’s UK/European tour, which runs until February 28th in Munich, Germany (tickets available here). As of now, Fever 333’s only scheduled US date is an appearance at Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, on July 20th.
