FaZe Jason says he received death threats after his date with Kyedae’s sister Sakura went viral on social media during the Streamer Prom event.
Inspired by Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, Twitch streamer Funny Mike held his Streamer Prom event in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday, June 18.
During the prom, FaZe member Jasontheween arrived with Kyedae’s younger sister, Sakura Shymko, and almost immediately became one of the top couples at the event.
A clip of Sakura kissing Jason went viral on X during the event, and the FaZe star even called Kyedae to get her “approval” after telling her he felt “very blessed” to have Sakura as his partner for the prom.
However, rumors began to spread across social media that Sakura wasn’t into Jason during the date, prompting harassment and death threats being sent to both creators.

“Sakura and I are fine,” he said in the post. “Please stop sending death threats and harassment, especially toward her. Our streams are for entertainment, but things can be misinterpreted. Today didn’t go as expected, but we’re grateful for the support. Please be kind, we’re all human. Thank you.”
Fans of Jason and Sakura flooded the comments of his post with support for the streamers.
“Mfs sending death threats and hate over a fake streamer relationship. Yea, it’s time for jobs,” one user commented.
Another said: “So crazy mfs sending death threats, I’m sorry you guys have to deal with that.”
“Death threats over a Twitch stream should result in a felony plain and simple,” replied a third.
