Faye Webster is “Feeling Good Today” on her new song, the latest cut from the singer and songwriters upcoming album, Underdressed at the Symphony.
Coming in at just a minute and 26 seconds, “Feeling Good Today” finds Faye Webster crooning through autotune as she narrates a generally good day. “I’m feeling good today / I ate before noon/ I think that’s pretty good for me,” Webster sings at the song’s opening. She continues by sharing several mundane details: she’s going to keep her doors open, and she’s got an exterminator so that bugs won’t come in, she’s going to go see her brother, and her neighbors know her dogs name, which she finds to be odd but she’s “over it.” She even mentions she got paid yesterday, but continues by singing “I’ll probably buy something dumb/ Because I am pretty childish.”
The short-but-sweet track also arrives with a music video directed by Pooneh Ghana and starring beloved TikTok grandmother, Lili Hayes. Hayes dons a latex Faye Webster mask and goes about her day, watering plants, strumming a guitar, yo-yo-ing, playing video games, and looking more or less vacant throughout it all. “Feeling Good Today” follows previously-released Underdressed at the Symphony singles “But Not Kiss,” “Lifetime,” and last month’s “Lego Ring” featuring Lil Yachty. In support of the album, Webster is also embarking on a major US and Europe tour throughout the spring and the summer, including festival appearances at Coachella, Primavera Sound, Bonnaroo, and Governors Ball. Underdressed at the Symphony arrives on March 1st.
