The Rilo Kiley reunion continues apace. Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Pierre de Reeder, and Jason Boesel have added more dates to their headlining reunion tour. The newly announced shows take place in September. See all of Rilo Kiley’s tour dates below.
Along with the tour news, Rilo Kiley have announced a new greatest-hits album, That’s How We Choose to Remember It, which comes out on May 9 via Saddle Creek. See the album’s tracklist below.
The members of Rilo Kiley, who haven’t played together live since 2008, shared statements about their imminent reunion. “Planning this reunion over these past months has been like reconnecting with family. We haven’t missed a beat,” Pierre de Reeder stated. “The stakes are only to have a good time, to revel in this nostalgia. Getting to revisit and celebrate the music from that special time of our lives while experiencing it alongside a lot of people that lived it with us back when, and new folks alike.”
Jenny Lewis added, “It couldn’t have happened any sooner. It feels like now is the time to share that joy and love with each other and with everyone else.”
And Blake Sennett said, “For some people, Rilo Kiley evokes a formative, emotional time in life, when you were maybe grasping for your place in the universe. We were too.”
