Pissed Jeans have announced Half Divorced, their new album and sixth studio LP. The follow-up to 2017’s Why Love Now arrives on March 1 via Sub Pop. Previewing the record is lead single “Moving On” and its music video directed by Joe Stakun. In the clip, the punk quartet performs the song live in a spacious warehouse while various people enter, like a woman who spills a bag of groceries and someone writing lyrics on a giant notepad. Check it out below.
Pissed Jeans produced and mixed Half Divorced with Don Godwin. The album was engineered by Mike Petillo and mastered by Why Love Now collaborator Arthur Rizk.
“Half Divorced has an aggression within it, in terms of saying, I don’t want this reality,” singer Matt Korvette explained in a statement. “There’s a power in being able to say, ‘I realize you want me to pay attention to these things, but I’m telling you that they don’t matter.’ I’m already looking elsewhere.”
