Julia Holter has shared a new song, “Spinning,” which follows the “Sun Girl” single released late last year. Both tracks appear on Holter’s new album, Something in the Room She Moves, set to arrive on March 22 via Domino. Watch the “Spinning” video, directed by Juliana and Nicola Giraffe, below, along with the dates of her North American tour.
Something in the Room She Moves follows 2018’s Aviary, the 2020 soundtrack album for Never Rarely Sometimes Always, and a 2023 collaboration with Spektral Quartet and Alex Temple called Behind the Wallpaper. The album title “came to Holter spontaneously as she was naming the Logic project file for an early demo of what would become the album’s title track on her computer for the first time,” according to a press release.
