Ezra Collective the British jazz quintet who took home the 2023 Mercury Prize, have announced a new album. Dance, No One’s Watching is out September 27 via Partisan. The band has shared its lead single, “God Gave Me Feet for Dancing” featuring London singer Yazmin Lacey, with a music video directed by Tajana Tokyo. Watch that rousing, dance-filled clip below.
Dance, No One’s Watching follows Ezra Collective’s award-winning sophomore album, Where I’m Meant to Be. In addition to Yazmin Lacey, their new LP also features collaborations with Olivia Dean, M.anifest, and Moonchild Sanelly. “God Gave Me Feet for Dancing” is technically the second song to be shared from Dance, No One’s Watching, after April’s “Ajala.
Later this summer, Ezra Collective will embark on a tour that extends on through the fall. Apart from a set at New York’s SummerStage in Central Park, this leg mainly keeps the band in Europe, with performances scheduled in England, France, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Ireland, and elsewhere.
