A decade after going on hiatus, the Brazilian electropop group CSS have returned and are ready to hit the road. CSS will embark on a North American tour—their first in 11 years—to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their formation. It kicks off on May 3 at Black Cat in Washington, D.C., and brings CSS to New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Francisco, among other cities, before concluding on May 18 at Just Like Heaven Festival. Find the complete list of tour dates below.
“I DJ often, and I am approached by fans who tell me how much ‘we’ve helped them figure out themselves,’ ‘showed a way out’ out of societal norms, and even ‘inspired them to be who they are’—which melts my heart because most of these fans are delicate queer creative people,” said lead singer Lovefoxxx. “We are deeply united by our sense of humor and our deep sisterhood and friendship. It’s so nice to know we touched some people and are still harvesting this love 20 years later.”
CSS released four studio albums during their original run: 2006’s Cansei De Ser Sexy, 2008’s Donkey, 2011’s La Liberación, and 2013’s Planta. The latter marked their first without longtime member Adriano Cintra.
