Fans are speculating that one of the original stars of Wicked will appear in the new movie version, which flies into theaters later this year.
The first part of the musical movie, which stars Cynthia Erivo and Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, premieres on November 22.
A new featurette premiered this week, and fans are convinced that they spotted one of the musical’s biggest stars in the background of a scene.

The star in question is Kristin Chenoweth, who played Glinda in the very first stage adaptation of the story!
In the photo above, fans think that they spotted Kristin‘s signature blond hair standing directly behind Ariana. The woman in question is not clearly seen but has her hair styled in an elaborate up-do.
The scene in question appears around the 1:54 mark in the featurette, which you can view below!
If Kristin is in the movie, it raises the question of if Idina Menzel, who originated the role of Elphaba, will also make a cameo.
