Fake Log Of Titan Sub Crew’s Last Words Raises Eyebrows

A transcript that claimed to be the log of the Titan Sub crew’s last words has been declared a fraud.

An investigation into the sub’s implosion confirmed that the log was “made up.” The submersible imploded in June 2023, killing the five people onboard, including OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush.

OceanGate confirmed the deaths of the passengers and paid tribute to them as “true explorers.”

Since the final log of the crew’s last words was revealed to be fake, several have taken to social media to question if the Titan Sub actually imploded.

A log that previously claimed to contain the final words of the Titan submersible crew has been declared a fake.

According to the New York Times, a federal team of investigators has concluded its investigation into the incident and “found no evidence” that the sub’s crew was aware of the implosion.

The log appeared online a few days after the Titan sub disappeared in the Atlantic Ocean and quickly went viral. It offered a detailed explanation of the events leading up to the sub’s implosion and the conversations that occurred within the vessel.

Captain Jason Neubauer, the Chairman of the Marine Board of Investigation, spoke about the transcript and said he was “confident” that it was false. He added that the log was entirely “made up” and said, “Somebody did it well enough to make it look plausible.”

The transcript claimed that the crew warned their mothership about alarms ringing in the vessel just before its implosion. However, real records of the sub’s final communication with the mothership have confirmed that the log is false.

Since the investigation revealed the log’s fraudulence, many have taken to social media to question whether the Titan submersible actually imploded.

On TikTok, netizens are claiming the entire incident was “made up,” with one user stating in a viral video that the recent finding regarding the log is proof of no implosion.

The TikToker said, “So here we are, a year later, the anniversary of the Titan Submersible mysteriously vanishing, and they have just told us that that whole ideology was false.”

She continued, “There was no long indicating when there was a dissent and when the Titan submersible ran out of oxygen and, in fact, imploded. Which means there was no implosion…”

Several others agreed with the TikTok user, with many noting that they always suspected the entire incident.

While the fake log has sparked fresh controversy, there is no concrete proof that the implosion did not happen, and parts of the submersible were discovered following the unfortunate incident.

The Titan submersible was on an excursion to view the remains of the Titanic wreckage when it lost contact with the mothership, The Polar Prince.

A massive search was soon launched in the area around its disappearance, and four days later, the sub’s wreckage was located at the bottom of the Atlantic.

All five passengers, including OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, billionaire Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, billionaire Hamish Harding, and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, died in the sudden implosion, leaving behind no remains.

OceanGate, the company hosting the expeditions, confirmed the deaths of the passengers.

Their statement read, “We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.”

The company further paid tribute to Rush and the other men who lost their lives. They called them “true explorers” who shared a “spirit of adventure and a deep passion” for exploring and protecting the oceans. The statement concluded with, “Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew.”

The U.S. Coast Guard also confirmed the deaths of the five men in a press conference. They revealed that a debris field was found close to the wreckage of the Titanic and it was confirmed to be the sub. The implosion was described as a “catastrophic pressure implosion,” which would have definitely killed the five men.

The loved ones of the crew who died in the Titan Sub have been sharing their grief. Harding’s family paid tribute to him in a statement, calling him a “loving husband” and “dedicated father.”

According to People Magazine, the statement read, “Today, we are united in grief with the other families who have also lost their loved ones on the Titan submersible. Hamish Harding was a loving husband to his wife and a dedicated father to his two sons, whom he loved deeply. To his team in Action Aviation, he was a guide, an inspiration, a support, and a Living Legend.”

The family of Shahzada and Suleman Dawood also released a statement. It read, “Our thoughts are with the victims of this tragedy, one which has been followed around the world. The family remains overwhelmed with the love and support that it has received and is grateful to those who showcased the best in humanity.”
