Cantilo is open about her previous struggles with addiction, and talked about it to LaRed21. “I am clean,” she says. “17 years ago, I went into rehab, because I think drugs are shit. I want to tell all the boys and everyone that no, it doesn’t matter what, especially the white one. I say it because I am confident. I am the living example that you can. This does not happen to everyone: there are people who can drink a glass of wine, there are people who can do something else. But I’m in the nothing program, nothing at all. I have been attending for 15 years, with different times and different relapses. I am alive by chance.”
Cantilo opened up about her career and her approach to work to LaRed21. She says that she does what she does because she has passion for it. “There is no search for a desperate end, there is no ambition, there is no desire to get my money back. I did it for the love of art. And I don’t do it to play the canchera. I want people to know that there is a person, me and others, who do things for the love of art.”

She wrote, “Every year more than 640 thousand tons of fishing elements are left in the sea, which include nets, lines, traps and other accessories used in commercial fishing. These items account for the highest percentage of plastic waste in the ocean. Abandoned nets and lines become a threat to marine life for many, many years—from tiny fish and crustaceans to turtles, birds and whales.”
