After spending the majority of 2022 making headlines for all the wrong reasons, The Flash star Ezra Miller has finally released a statement that addresses and apologizes for his recent behavior.
Following last week’s report that Miller’s latest arrest for felony burglary had Warner Bros. considering canceling The Flash entirely, Miller has released a statement acknowledging that they now understand they are going through “complex” mental health issues.
Ezra Miller has released an official statement that acknowledges and apologizes for their recent behavior
Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said in a statement.
“I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.” [via Variety]
This apology and statement from Miller is obviously the best-case scenario for Warner Bros., as Miller’s apology will now allow them to rehabilitate the actor’s image prior to the release of The Flash — which is set to be a massive project for the future of the DCEU franchise — next summer.
At this time, The Flash is currently scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on Friday, June 23, 2023. In addition to Miller, the film also stars Michael Keaton as Batman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Michael Shannon as General Zod, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen.
Prior to the release of The Flash in June, DCEU films such as Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
