On the heels of her experimental drone project Perverts, Ethel Cain has revealed plans to release her next album, Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You. She’s also announced her largest headlining tour to date taking place in North America and Europe throughout late summer and fall 2025.
Billed as Cain’s proper sophomore album, Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You will be released in August 2025 and serves as a prequel to her lauded 2022 debut, Preacher’s Daughter. “Before everything, there was you. 1986, the year everything changed forever,” Cain wrote in Instagram post announcing the album. Meanwhile, she’s also finally preparing for the vinyl release of Preacher’s Daughter, which will arrive on April 4th; pick up your copy here.
Cain’s 2025 “Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour” will see her headline some of her biggest shows ever, including performances at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, and more. The Toronto band 9million will open for Cain throughout the tour. Cain will be partnering with The Ally Coalition and donating $1 of every ticket sold to organizations committed to serving the trans community. More shows are set to be announced at a later date.
