Esthetician Shares the 8 Best Dollar Tree Skincare Products — Best Life

Dermasil AHA Glycolic Acid Toning Solution

Dollar Tree is known for its extensive inventory of reputable skincare products, both name-brand and generic. But that doesn’t make shopping for new facial cleansers and anti-aging serums any less intimidating. Fortunately, dermatologist Regina Shapiro has a TikTok series in which she uncovers the best acne-prone solutions, name-brand dupes, and hydrating creams for just $1.25 each. See her top Dollar Tree skincare picks below.

Formulated with rose water and witch hazel, this solution is “great for acne-prone skin,” says Shapiro. Plus, glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that “chemically exfoliates the skin and boosts collagen” while also improving skin texture, the appearance of wrinkles, and clogged pores, according to Health.

As Health explains, “If you have a breakout, you’re dealing with pores clogged with oil, dirt, or skin cells. When glycolic acid exfoliates the skin, it sloughs away dead skin cells and unclogs pores. Glycolic acid also helps reduce excess oil, which can help prevent acne.”

This multi-use product eliminates dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines/wrinkles. It also won’t clog pores, but it earns Shapiro’s stamp of approval because of its A+ ingredient list. The eye treatment contains peptides (boosts collagen and strengthens the skin barrier), vitamins, and green tea extract (reduces inflammation).

4 | b.Pure face masks

Shapiro shares two b.Pure face masks at Dollar Tree that are worth your buck. The first one is called the Mermaid Face Mask; it “contains arginine, which firms lines,” she explains.

If you have dry skin, Shapiro recommends the Sprinkles Face Mask from b.Pure. The one caveat to this hydration mask is that it’s berry-scented. So, if you have sensitive skin, or don’t like scented skincare products, stick with the first option.

5 | Skin Nutrition Botanicals Multi-Peptide Anti-Aging Serum

This anti-aging serum soothes dark spots, eliminates puffiness, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. And thanks to its elasticity benefits, your skin will have a glow to it. Plus, it’s free of oils, silicone, fragrance, parabens, and phthalates.

“I think this could be a dupe for The Ordinary,” shares Shaprio, referencing the name brand’s
Multi-Peptide + HA Serum, which is $19.

6 | Kissable Charcoal Acne Clearing Cleanser

This everyday facial cleanser is “great for acne and acne-prone skin,” says Shapiro.

According to MedicalNewsToday, activated charcoal can remove skin impurities, soothe acne, absorb excess oil, and brighten skin.

Also formulated with rose water and witch hazel, this daily face cream is a “good option for oily and combination skin,” per Shapiro. The product says it’s “designed to hydrate and nourish your skin while providing a gentle toning and balancing effect.”

8 | Pond’s Makeup Remover Facial Wipes

These makeup wipes contain aloe vera extract, which hydrates and soothes the skin barrier. However, they shouldn’t be used as a facial cleanser replacement. “Only [use them] for eye makeup; makeup wipes are too drying for the face,” advises Shapiro.

Instead, you should gently remove makeup with a wipe, wash your face with your usual cleanser, and carry on with your standard nighttime skincare routine.
