Epiphone has launched what is one of the most-requested guitar models in its history: a Dave Grohl DG-335 model.
The collaboration between the Foo Fighters frontman and Epiphone pays tribute to Grohl’s signature Gibson model – albeit at a much more affordable cost, relatively-speaking.
The new model comes in Pelham Blue, with a number of features, and is available to purchase now for £1,249 via the Epiphone website (we said relatively-speaking).
Epiphone have in fact partnered with Gibson Custom on the new release, and the model features a combination of ES-335 and the Trini Lopez model features that Grohl specifically requested.
Other features include Grover Mini-Rotomatic tuners, a Locktone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar, and a Switchcraft toggle and jack, as well as an Epiphone hardshell Dave Grohl case.
Sharing the news of their collaboration with Grohl, Epiphone explained some of the hype surrounding the new model, sharing:
“This is one of the most requested models in Epiphone’s history, so we are X-Static to offer this exceptional guitar to players worldwide.”
Speaking about the legendary frontman specifically, they added:
“Dave Grohl is an alternative rock legend who needs no introduction.
“A longtime Gibson user, his previous Gibson signature guitars have remained extraordinarily popular and command premium prices on the used market – when you can find one.”
And with the new release, guitar players have more opportunity than ever to play a guitar in his image.
