The 2023 Emmy Awards, being handed out in January 2024, bring together an eclectic mix of series that feels even more eclectic thanks to the timing: Despite their 2022 premieres, projects like Andor, Wednesday, House of the Dragon, and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story are all nominated for TV’s most prestigious honor tonight.
The excitement around the 75th annual celebration of television’s best might be lacking, due to the Emmys being delayed from September 2023 on account of the SAG-AFTRA strike. But there are still some very exciting stories in the making tonight, as repeat winner Succession finds itself competing one last time with perpetually overlooked Better Call Saul.
In addition, series like The Bear and The Last of Us make their debut appearances at the Emmys, with real potential to cause some upsets along the way. And with past winners like Abbott Elementary, Ted Lasso, Barry, The Crown, and The White Lotus in the mix, anything feels a little bit possible.
Here are this year’s winners, a list that will be updated live as the ceremony progresses. The 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards air Monday, January 15th at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET on Fox. Anthony Anderson serves as host.
